Liz had been around Kid long enough to know when he was having one of the really awful fits. After all, there were certain signs that Kid had taught them that meant he needed to be left alone for a while. Most importantly was the electric atmosphere of Gallows Manor that was the bleed off of his soul wavelength being off-kilter. They weren't like the usual compulsions of obsessively straightening picture frames or fussing about this or that. No, these were much worse.
Of course, she'd never actually seen him ride out one of the really bad ones out before. After all, Kid had told her and Patty to leave him be when one of these fits happe

Nothing Can Stop the Scourge
Nothing Can Stop the Scourge
(Parody of "Nothing Can Stop the Smooze" from The My Little Pony Movie)
Something bad is rising up,
From graves bodies emerge
(Here we come!)
Get inside
Better run and hide
Nothing can stop the Scourge!
(You can't stop us!)
See the way we shamble forth
On villages converge
(Shambling on!)
Here it comes
Right now
Nothing can stop the Scourge!
(No way!)
You can't unmake us
You can't evade us
You haven't got a chance!
(Yeah!)
You can't escape from our evil plague
No matter what you do
We're gonna get to you
(And you! And you!)
Go ahead and try to fight
And stand against the surge

Dexter sat down on the edge of the bed, gazing forlornly at his friend.
Ben's chest steadily rose and fell, unaware of his presence as he dreamed.
"Don't worry, Dex. I'll be up and around in no time. Heck, you'll probably like the peace and quiet."
It had been three days now. Rather than appreciating the silence, Dexter was slowly going mad. Without even realizing it, he'd gotten used to Ben's presence and now missed the young Worgen's constant curiosity. Ben didn't always understand everything the young mage was working on, but he at least knew how to ask intelligent questions.

"Azmuth!" Max called, cradling his burden tightly against his chest. "Azmuth!"
The child in his arms shifted, and the Human worried that he might be waking. However, the boy went limp once more, succumbing to the effects of the sleeping potion Max had given him.
Sighing with relief, the old Human looked about, seeing nothing but the thick trees of the forest. Was this even the right place? Suddenly, he couldn't be sure. On top of that, he was looking for a recluse from an entire species of recluses.
Max took a deep breath. "Azmuth!"
"If you keep that up, Max Tennyson, Lady Ysera herself will show up if only to stop the noise," a new
Dexter snarled in irritation as he missed the target yet again. His particular arcane specialty leaned more towards being a tool rather than a weapon, but his mentor had advised him to learn a few offensive spells as a precaution. Azeroth was a dangerous place, and one needed to be prepared for any eventuality, so he would take a moment away from his beloved machines to practice when he wasn't able to focus well enough to handle the more delicate arcane manipulations.
Unfortunately, today it seemed his focus was well and truly off. He'd even completely failed to cast Arcane Missiles on two separate occasions, the magical energies dispersi
Benjamin ("'Ben'! Call me 'Ben'!") was going to drive him insane.
Dexter was very much convinced of this. He wondered if it was a calculated effort on the slightly older teenager's part all along. At times, it seemed incredibly likely.
To be honest, Dexter had been fascinated by Benjamin at first. The other young man was Gilnean, the citizen (prisoner?) of a kingdom that had been locked away behind the Greymane Wall for over twenty years where he probably still would've been were it not for The Shattering. Meeting him as he'd meandered through Stormwind with his jaw dropped had definite

Mr. Green was going to kill him.
Assuming, of course, the security team didn't get their hands on Dexter first. Or his father for that matter. Strange how the thought was cheering, thrilling even rather than making him want to curl up and hide.
Ben twisted the dial of the Omnitrix, making his selection. His hand hovered over the face, grinning. "You ready?"
It was still safe to turn back now. He could say they'd just gone to the roof for some fresh air.
But Ben was still wearing that stupid grin on his face. Clearly, he expected Dexter to do ju

The blonde woman wrung her hands as she waited on the couch for her husband to finish. She inhaled deeply and exhaled, placing her elbows on her knees while leaning her forehead against her clasped hands. She closed her eyes.
Honey?
She lifted her head, opening her eyes. Well?
Michael gave her a little smile. Well, on the positive side, I didnt find anything illegal in his room.
Oh thank God. Annette lowered her head again, leaning against her clasped hands once more.

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday! :D
I'll try and see if I can't get more stuff written out or take more photos or something.
Well, hello, anybody.
NaNoWriMo approaches once more. I need to figure out what I'm doing. I may have to write down the story for the idea of the FusionFall doujinshi my sister and I were thinking about doing. Having an actual direction would be fantabulous. Or I could continue the novel I was working on last year. Real life got in the way when I was writing it.
Last update on "Fragments" was this past January, and I've been working on the next part, so it's not dead. I've just trashed the latest chapter a couple of times since I didn't like how it was going.
And that's really the only thing that's been going on in my writing life.
